Dematic Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Dematic is a supplier of integrated automated supply chain technology, software and services. With a growth rate of 25% in 2016 Dematic is listed as the world's third-largest materials handling systems supplier. The company employs over 6,000 people and has engineering centres and manufacturing facilities in the United States, Mexico, Australia, Germany, Italy, China and Czech Republic.
A former employee said this in a review at Indeed website: "I worked at Dematic for 3 years hoping I would had the opportunity to grow but the place doesn't carry the culture of taking care of their employees".
Former Employee - Leadman says"Company moved to Mexico for profit"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"There are only a couple people in the company with athourity to make decisions but those people are oblivious to what’s happening in the company. The moral continues to decrease but nothing is done to fix it. The only way employees get promotions is by threatening to quit not by working hard. There is so much dead weight in the company and so many useless employees but it’s pretty much impossible to be fired. The hard working employees continue to leave because they aren’t appreciated. They only care about recruiting the next candidate not taking care of the people they already have."
Former Employee - Machine Builder says"All upper management Working 70 hoursa week alot. Horrible owners"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"left hard working people . just to pay 1.80 in Mexico"
Former Employee - Power Assembly says"It is all about money money money. The US used to be able to pride itself on its quality in manufacturing. Now, companies like Dematic have gone to the lowest bidder on more than one thing and are selling off its quality for profits. This being a company that used to make 300 million a year to over 3 billion a year mainly off one plant. The Grand Rapids facility, the backbone of Dematic they have decided to move to Mexico where it has already proven to be a failure multiple times. CEOs like Baysore are nothing but liars. Saying out one side of his mouth he wants to keep Grand Rapids, while making agreements with other countries to offload his employees jobs to. There was some hope that maybe KION (who now owns Dematic) could have changed the course of this facility and kept some integrity in their QA standards. This was a bad acquisition on KIONs part because the management who run Dematic do not know their rear ends from a hole in the ground when it comes to keeping a great company floating and making money."
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"No growth opportunities due to company politics in corporate office"
Former Employee - Software Engineer says"Terrible management, terrible compensation, terrible career growth. All-around terrible. As an employee, you are nothing more than a number (unless you're part of the 'old boys' club). It's a great place to work if you'd like to enjoy every single other job you have for the rest of your life by being able to compare it to working at Dematic. 'Today, was really stressful and awful, but hey - at least it's not Dematic!'"
Former Employee - Software Engineer says"I liked my peers at Reddwerks, but I had to leave as the environment was total chaos. You basically sat doing nothing for months, and then you were suddenly sent on-site for weeks, working non-stop, around the clock fixing bugs. All projects I worked on were a total mess. Training was non-existent. People were fired left and right. You never knew why, but I guess it was due to poor profitability. Information was very much kept under wraps. I heard thing got even worse in 2017, so I am glad I got out of there,"
Safety Coordinator (Former Employee) says"I worked here as a safety for over a year, it was a stressful adventure paying my own hotel and car rentals I never saw a penny. Worst experience to go through but learned a lot about the industry.ZeroEverything"
Fabricator (Former Employee) says"No raises. company starts at 15/hr and ends at 15/hr. Union so between your dues and the limit of 15 bucks it's not worth it. was happier as a temp there made more moneyits a jobno raises"
Machine Operator - Roller Fabrication (Former Employee) says"Paid handsomely, yet the worst place I've ever worked for. The union didn't fight for anything. The seniors that were there knew they would be compensated nicely for Dematic shutting the company down, and in turn they left the younger crowd in the dust. Dematic took 60+ hours from each employee, lied about moving, lied about career advancement, and the management was terrible. There were snakes in the grass, around every corner, and there was nothing you could do or say to change it. They were never open to constructive feedback. Shame on Dematic and the union leaders that were involved in the corporate greed, that destroyed the lives of many."
Power Assembly (Former Employee) says"worked too many hours on average. too many mandatory weekends. boss had bad side manners. The average temperature during summer hours were extremely hot and muggy.nonetoo many to write"

That doesnt even keep up with the cost of living(inflation) Work/life balance tips the scales to were you will be wondering if you have a life.If you see any signs of a slow down for the winter the layoff notices are soon to follow.health carepay, few opportunities for advancement, lay offs"
ELECTRICIAN IV (Former Employee) says"Used to be a great place to work. Last 2-3 years the place has reached the bottom. Terrible moral caused by the most arrogant and self-righteous managers on the planet. They will stab you in the back at any time. Until present management quits or is removed I would not recommend working here to my worst enemy. What a shame to see the place ruined by a few ignorant managers, who could care less about their employees, and only stay because of their vain, arrogant, bullying, cold heart, and power, big heads that they think they have over people. I feel sorry for them when the day comes that they have to answer for their actions and how they treated their fellowman.None at presentTerrible, Horrible plant management"
Cycle Counter (Former Employee) says"I was a Dematic employee for almost two and a half years and I would like to share my experience. The warehouse is a disaster. The management is crooked and caniving and incompetent on the highest levels. The culture and moral of the place was unbelievable low. Employees and management did not care about the job which is ironic because our slogan was “I care about who comes next.” At this rate, the current leadership will run the Memphis warehouse into the ground. I would not recommend a job here to anyone.Decent pay with plenty of overtime, learned a lot about SAP and Excel.Management, work culture, environment"
Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) says"The manager I had took care of his friends better than the employees who work. There is no system to make sure that the jobs are getting done and people are doing their work.Lack of magement"
